I’m always happy to pay a visit to our Dutch neighbors. This is Amsterdam on a sunny day! I went there to see again the Vermeer exhibition and the Rijksmuseum , getting ready for a talk on Dutch paintings I’ll give in French. I can’t wait!

Waiting for my customers
I like to join the meeting point with my customers earlier and peacefully wait for them. In this case I took advantage of this beautiful scenery to drink a coffee, in the bar of the De Orangerie hotel in Bruges. Not bad, isn’t it?
Amsterdam by night
Between guided tours and study trips, I had the chance to visit the renowned Vermeer exhibition at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which was amazing. This was possible thanks to the evening opening of the exhibition. After this wonderful experience I walked to the Central Station, enjoying a great evening atmosphere.
The Grand’Place, Chimay
I took this picture last summer, after a chess game and a fresh beer. This place evokes in me many nice memories. In 2016 I participated in a Belgian TV program together with my colleague and friend Raffaela and we climbed the tower for the shootings. On that occasion, I even tried playing the carillon for a moment (luckily for the…
🌜Mechelen by night!
A nice memory from an evening walk in Mechelen. I took this picture at the Grote Markt, the main square. You can see the tower of the St. Rumbold’s Cathedral and the buildings next to it.The first on the left is the Beyaert Town House, currently hosting the post office. Not many people around and…
Not only Brussels has it
Do we find Art Nouveau only in Brussels? Of course not! Let’s talk about this beautiful façade located in Tournai! This Art Nouveau house was built in 1903 by the architect Georges de Porre for Valentin Hoër, a German jeweler. After being damaged during the Second World War, it was acquired by the architect Walter…
Manolo in Bruges
My assistant Manolo really wanted to enjoy the last day of Christmas vibes in Bruges. We went there and walked all day around the city. I showed him narrow hidden streets and beautiful churches. In one of the pictures, you can see Manolo admiring the tondo in enameled terracotta, depicting a Madonna with Child (a…
Discovering Belgian art with a Spanish group
Cold weather and traffic cannot stop me! I met the bravest tourists ever, never afraid of discovering Belgium! Walking around with freezing temperatures and queuing on highways are a big part of my job as a tour guide in winter time. But I have to be honest with you, what do I remember about the…
A week in the Netherlands
I finally find a moment to share with you a few pics from my last week. I spent more than one week in the Netherlands, being part of the organization team of a big event. What can I say? I missed Belgium but Amsterdam is beautiful! I saw so many interesting places and met wonderful…
A conference in Italy

The event took place at the University of Padoua. I presented the results from my PhD…
