St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church in Middelburg

St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church in Middelburg, in the East Flanders province. It was originally built in late gothic style in the 15th century thanks to the initiative of Pieter Bladelin, a senior official of the Burgundian dukes. In the interior of the church, you can find a copy of the Middelburg Altar (or “The Bladelin Altarpiece”, an artwork of Rogier Van de Weyden) by Jan Ricx. The original triptych is displayed in Berlin. In the center of the painting, Pieter Bladelin is kneeling before the newborn Child.
