A remarkable piano

During a visit to The Curtius Museum, one of the last sections displays a few exceptional Art Nouveau artefacts.
This remarkable piano was designed by Gustave Serrurier, one of the figureheads of Art Nouveau in Belgium and the painted panels were done by the Liège painter Emile Berchmans. The instrument itself was created by Pleyal in Paris.
It shows a plethora of various art forms and different techniques.

The museum’s website has a wealth of information, it can be found here: https://www.grandcurtius.be/index.php/en/museums-collections
